The new age of civility seems to be getting off to a rocky start. This video was brought to my attention and is both disturbing and a little shocking because I felt that even in Virginia there was still civility with in the political process, but I guess I was being optimistic.
This is from VA State Senator George Barker(39th district) public town hall meeting and just to clarify this is from his website:
Sen. Barker will be hosting a series of town hall meetings this month. For many, this will be the first time to meet your “new” Senator since legislative districts were re-drawn a few weeks ago. Joined by members of the General Assembly from both parties, Sen. Barker plans to address the 2011 legislative session, the budget, and redistricting, as well as any other topics constituents wish to discuss. All of the events are free and open to the public.
